Formula 1

Aside from writing, reading, and such, in the past year, I have become a fan of Formula 1. I watch most of the races unless the time is very unreasonable, and I thought it would be cool to share my favorite teams and drivers. I also wanted to start writing blogs about my experience as a watcher and my overall thoughts about the sport, fans, and media.

Constructor

The two constructors that I support are McLaren and Williams Racing. Once you see my top five drivers, I think you will understand why. Meaning my loyalty is to where the driver is, not who they drive for.

Drivers

Here is my top five with one honorable mention.

Lando Norris (LN4)

My all-time favorite and the reason I started watching the sport. No matter what happens, I think I will always support Lando, and I am hoping to see him P1 in every race that I watch. I have very high expectations for him because I know he can win the championship and has what it takes. There has been a lot of hate online, it's kind of depressing and has turned me away from F1 TikTok and other social media, but I still love the sport because of him. I love how, above all, he remains true to himself and continues to express his feelings and be open about mental health.

Alex Albon (aa23)

Alex is a close second. Like, I mean, very close to Lando; the only thing that separates them is just how long I have followed them. While Lando brought me to the sport, Alex has just won me over over time. I don't remember when or how I started to pay attention, but I did, and now my eyes alternate between him and Lando for the race. I really believe that Alex can achieve a podium soon and can't wait for him to show what he is capable of. Just like with Lando, I know he has what it takes to bring Williams to the top, and it helps that he is very funny as well.

Oscar Piastri (OP81)

I, of course, was exposed to Oscar as a driver through McLaren and Lando. However, I think he is very talented; I see him winning championships in the future. While many people argue that Oscar is not very expressive, I think back to the videos he has with Lando and how much fun they have together. That truly reminds me that this is a sport, and everyone celebrates their wins differently. I really like how calm he is, but I love those silly videos and all he has to offer to the team.

Lewis Hamilton (LH44)

To say that Lewis is not an inspiration would be a lie. Everything he has achieved, all his hard work, and his personality make it hard to hate him or even not notice him. While I do not like Ferrari, I still keep up with them simply for Lewis. I want him to get his 8th so badly, and I know he will. Hopefully, it will go like this: LN4 2025, LH44 2026, and OP81 2027. But anyways, his confidence, style, skills, and just everything about him make Lewis into someone little kids want to admire, and he makes sure to be that support, which I love about him.

Carlos Sainz (CS55)

Now, Carlos is such an interesting person to have made it into my list. Like I mentioned with Lewis, I really don't like Ferrari; somehow, one of their drivers always wins me over. I admire Carlos so much and his knowledge and passion for the sport. I love what he is doing at Williams and know that he will help the team become better. Carlos is a top driver, and I know Williams will be there soon, so I am excited to see what he can do.
